you cut an avocado in half and it doesn't bleed. you eat like ice cream with a spoon, well that's kinda neat. they cost a dollar fifty in north dakota and they cost just a dollar in south dakota. and they keep getting cheaper as you keep going south! just 39 cents in texas is what i hear...

it's been a long weekend the farmer's market has come and gone. the rainstorm's over and main street is overcrowded. i've got a horn on my bike. i've got a bell on my bike. i've got no need for lights i've got no need for a mirror it's been a long weekend the long workdays have come and gone. the flea market's over and turned back into a field. it's been a long weekend in the small small town and if you can't get a good job, you're working at the bar! and there's a sound that the air makes when the nighttime comes too soon but that sound is even louder when the nighttime stays too long.

the garlic mustard is in bloom and the sewage plant is buzzing over main. the town has filled with people, and furniture's been placed out on the street the garlic mustard is in bloom and the soap flowers are all upon the hill. no one touches, but everybody feels a little strange and if you go out in the woods, watch out for atvs and animals that seem to have lost their way

i was born one sunny day in burbank californ-i-ay we lived in glass huts made of clay when i heard my doctor say pack up! we're moving to canada! everybody's going to canada! pack up! we're moving to canada today! yeah yeah yeah yeah! i was taught my self esteem back before i turned thirteen what could it even mean when i heard my brother scream pack up! we're moving to canada! everybody's going to canada! pack up! we're moving to canada today! yeah yeah yeah yeah! my fingernail's were closetwork the orchestra had lost it's shirt wonder what this guitar pick is worth when i fell face first in the dirt

There was a Bad Turnip sitting on the kitchen table and i should have known that this would happen cause we got it at the flea market from that guy from the city and i should have known that this would happen. i was caught in the moment. we were caught in the moment. and i should have known that this would happen.

i've got a bag full of bruised apples bouncing in the milk crate strapped to the back of my bike, diy or die, they say or at least i said that once at least i said that once x2 and i'm scared to know about the things i haven't done in the micropolitan party weekend and i've been writing down my thoughts And thinking even more as i ride my bike out of town and through the sprawling golf course i used to know myself, but then i moved back home x2 riding along the creek, the river's running high i've eaten all the trail mix but i'm not too far from home. i can turn back if i want i can turn back if i want riding a little further and i've drank the water the river's running high and i'm getting far from home i can bike out of town if i want to. i can bike over the mountain too. X2 chorus, i can bike out of town if i want to. i can bike over the mountain too. X2

the cars drive through the cities made for cars they never stay long but they seem to like it here- keep coming back day after day as i walk along the crumbling sidewalk tall buildings were made by people you'd think they would be for people! the long roads were made by people you'd think they would be for people! at night time the air rumbles, very un-restfully - there's always a car, to make sure it's safe for cars i thought about filling myself with gasoline to see if i could see better then! down the hill down the sidewalk i slide down on the town down on the cars i slide build it up higher make the roads wider i slide can't sell my car can't sell my bike i slide.
8.
i can't get rid of my car, so i might as well use it? i don't want to vote this year, but i might as well do it? i don't want to work so much, but i might as well pay rent? i don't want to eat the junk food, but i might as well buy it? i don't want to feel so confused, but i might as well just feel it? i don't want to be the only one, so i might as well join in? i don't want to go to the bar, so i might as well start drinking? i don't want to not want to, so i might as well start wanting to?

about

I challenged myself to record an EP over the period of 4 days in which i hosted two events and worked 40 hours. The Long Weekend, Micropolitan Party Weekend, and Animals that Seem to Have Lost Their Way are the results of this challenge. Moving to Canada is an Eric Funn cover. Cut an Avocado in Half and Bad Turnip are reworkings of older tunes. Cities Made For Cars is an oddity. Enjoy!
