my face, blinded by the sunset
or the mountains!
i woke covered in these blankets
yes im awake!
oh my home seems like a dream now
the ground's red here!
music comes out from a side room
i hear singing!

then a dog appeared his name was connor hid behind a gate kind and frightened eyes did glow and scan my eyes in silence had a cup of coffee then i spot a herd of horses called my friends and asked "where am i? and i'm getting famous!"

then i looked over the cliffside
i see more cliffs!
no one at all could see
me or my friends!
i spun around in some circles
no one saw me!
my eyes were no longer mine
a gift to strangers!

blinked and then i found myself hung high above the city i'm clapping and im stopping and i think i hear a parrot yelling "somebody turn off the lights in the sky and let the darkness shine down!" then i blink again and now i'm back out with the horses. the sky is clear and i can see the rockies in the distance. i grab a drink and then i wobble well beyond my limits. i walk around front and i hop in the car and i listen to some music. i scrounge and a search for a horn section to fill this endless vista. then i forget that i turned on the engine and dive into the abyss. i wake up shaking, shocked that i'm breathing and head onto montana. but no one can say that i'll once again feel like i did in wyoming. no one can say that i'll once again feel like i did in wyoming.
